Bouter Cheese

VWS International has delivered a total of twenty lines for weighing and labelling CBL crates with cheese products at Bouter Cheese in Culemborg, The Netherlands, part of A-ware Food Group. This service organization specializes in, among other things, the cutting, packaging, weighing, and labelling of cheese. Per line, between 15 and 20 crates per minute are weighed and provided with a label. Applying the label requires an exact positioning of the crates and an extremely reliable Print & Apply system. The control system developed by VWS International and the stainless steel LP400 labelling systems with advanced blow-off system can handle this without any problems.

The lines are all equipped with an Octopus terminal with software developed in-house by VWS International. The Octopus is an industrial touchscreen weighing and registration terminal built in stainless steel. With the software developed, which, in addition to various functionality, provides a link with the customer's system, it is possible to optimize the Bouter Cheese production process.

VWS International has already supplied systems at various locations of A-Ware Food Group, which delivers millions of consumer packaging every week to Albert Heijn, among others. The order for the delivery and installation of a total of twenty lines for weighing and labelling CBL crates with cheese products was preceded by an extensive selection and testing phase, in which the final choice fell on the equipment, knowledge, and flexibility of VWS International.
