Broflow

Since May three LPX500 labelling systems with thermal transfer printers have been labelling the various packaging in-line and fully automatically at Broflow in Haarsteeg, The Netherlands. The horticultural company Broflow in Haarsteeg, The Netherlands grows delicious fresh and healthy vegetables in the open field, including celery and iceberg lettuce.

“In our modern packaging area, products from our own cultivation, but also vegetables and fruit from our suppliers, are packaged and labelled,” says John van de Broek, owner of Broflow. “In view of our many years of pleasant cooperation, we have again opted for the systems of VWS International. They develop the right machines for packaging companies like us.”

The new LPX500 labelling systems feature the latest developments in printing and control technology. “Our old label files can simply be used with these new LPX500 labelling systems and that saves a lot of extra programming work,” says Antoine van Engelen, supervisor of the packaging area. “The Ribbon Save function on the LPX500 is also a big improvement, because we now use much less ribbon. Also good for the environment.”
